Youths will use sports as a medium to address major issues such as Health, Education, Citizenship and Social Integration encountered in the different Pacific countries.

12 youths have been selected to represent Fiji at the first ever Pacific and Youth Conference in Manukau in New Zealand.

Two officers of the Department of Youth and Sports and a representative from the National Youth Advisory Board will also be part of the trip.

Mere Ratukonadi who’s heading the 15 member contingent said they have met with the participants discussing necessary arrangements regarding the trip.

Mere also adds it will bring together 1400 young people from around the Pacific Region.

The conference kicks off next month from the 15th-20th.
