Two youths of Navosa abandoned their horses and sacks of dried leaves believed to be marijuana early yesterday morning and ran for their lives when they mistakenly stopped police vehicle thinking that it was their pickup.
Assistant Police Spokesperson Corporal Josaia Weicavu confirms that the vehicle was returning from Korolevu when the two tried to stop them.
The men are being questioned at the Sigatoka Police Station while the leaves have been sent to Koronivia Research Station.
