Youths aged between 16 to 25 currently comprise thirty-six percent of offenders present in prisons.

This has been revealed by the Director for the Yellow Ribbon Project Isireli Dausiga who said this is a high percentage and what is noticeable is that most of the youths are school dropouts.

Dausiga said while the Yellow Ribbon Project may help youths continue with their education, they must also think of how hard their parents have worked for them, before they commit an offence.

He added they have altered the rehabilitation program at the Nasinu Centre to suit the youths.
