Youths celebrate National Youth Day
On Friday, the Ministry of Youth organized a march for the young along with the launching of the National Youth service scheme.
Village spoke to a few youths today who said they had a full day planned for themselves and their families and friends.
Good news for youths as the National Youth Service Scheme is set to start from this week.
Speaking to Village, Director for the Scheme, Viliame Baledrokadroka said the first phase of the training "Skills for life program" involves a totally new 2 week syllabus.
The 2 week long program called the "Seeds for Life" replaces the old program "Positive Mental attitude" and starts with a training program for youths preparing them mentally for the work force.
The National Youth Scheme was launched on Friday by the Interim youth minister, Filipe Bole, during the National Youth Celebrations at the Ratu Sukuna Park.
