The Health Ministry's Tobacco Control Unit has expressed concern over a high number of school children caught smoking last year.
Senior Tobacco Control Unit Officer Iferemi Coroilega said since the Unit was set up in April 2008 and from that time until December, 303 people were penalized and the worrying sign is that majority of them were school children.
Coroilega reveale 220 people in the West, 57 in the North and 26 people in the West were given on the spot fines by the Tobacco Officers in the field.
