Five youths charged with robbery with violence are expected to appear in Suva court tomorrow for allegedly being involved in a broad day light robbery involving more than $42,000 worth of goods on Friday.

According to Police Spokesperson Atunaisa Sokomuri the five wearing masks and armed with pinch bars, broke into an office based at Garden City, Raiwaqa.

They threatened a 54-year-old Assistant Director and stole $500 cash, 8 apple brand laptops worth $24,000, iPods valued at $5000, $800 dollars worth of chains, $1600 dollars worth of mobile phones and rings worth $200.

The five tried to escape however a quick response by the Police Dog Unit paid off and they managed to arrest the five.

Police managed to recover some of the stolen items worth $26,000.
