Youths Arrested For Alleged Robbery
Police Spokesperson Atunaisa Sokomuri said the four are in custody while the hunt continues for the other three suspects as they had fled on foot up Nabua village.
Police were assisted by photos taken by cameras at the service station however the computerized system at the Service Station did not escape scratch as the robbers damaged the system.
It is not known at t his stage how much money was taken.
Meanwhile, Labasa Police have arrested and charged a 21-year-old driver whose vehicle was involved in an accident in Vunika, Labasa on Tuesday night claiming life of a 14-year-old girl while her 16-year-old sister received serious injuries.
Police Spokesperson Atunaisa Sokomuri said the driver has been on the run since the accident and was apprehended by police on Thursday.
Sokomuri added he had been charged with dangerous driving occasioning death and dangerous driving occasioning bodily harm.
He is expected to appear in court on Monday.
Police said the two girls had told their parents that they were going to a nearby church but on their way they were approached by the accused and two other friends in his vehicle.
It is believed the driver lost control and as a result the vehicle tumbled and went off the road.
The 14-year-old died at the scene.
