Each year there are hundreds of graduates from tertiary institutions and the possibility of providing employment for all these people is highly unlikely.

This is what the Young People's concerned Network spokesperson, Peter Waqavonovono said after the Interim Education Minister said during the launch of the National Youth Service scheme that young people will be able to start jobs once they have been the program.

Good news for youths come next week as the National Youth Service Scheme is set to start.

Speaking to Fiji Village, Director for the Scheme, Viliame Baledrokadroka said the first phase of the training "Skills for life program" involves a totally new 2 week syllabus.

The 2 week long program called the “Seeds for Life" replaces the old program "Positive Mental attitude" and starts with a training program for youths preparing them mentally for the work force.
