The initiative by the Ministry of youth and employment to ensure job availability for youths, the National Youth Service Scheme has taken a new twist.
Senior Training and Development Youth Officer from the Ministry Willam Naisara speaking to Fijivillage News said the Fund a total of only $1 million dollars allocated to them by the Interim Administration and this was to cater for only 2000 applicants they had anticipated.
However, Naisara adds even though this number exceeded the expected 2000 there has been a good response from the employment market.
Naisara adds the remaining 3 000 will have to wait for the next year as they had not put in place any plans for them
A strong critic of the scheme, Young People's Concerned Network has refused to make any comments moment.
