In an effort to provide an outlet for artistic youths, the Ministry of Youth has made the Pacific Youth Festival Logo designs open to the public.
The Ministry decided to do this so that there was more interest generated in the upcoming Festival. So far the Ministry has received only 8 entries.
The Festival will see over hundreds of youths from 22 Pacific Islands who are members of the Secretariat of the South Pacific take part.
At the moment the organizing committee of the event is worried with regards to the participation of one of SPC's founding members, New Zealand.
The interim government had earlier allocated $90 000 for the festival.
The 2009 Pacific Youth Festival has the theme: "Actioning the Youth Agenda"
