Taking care of one’s ear should be the top priority in your life.
Those are the comments from Doctor Su Hong, a specialist doctor in the Ear Nose and Throat Department at the Colonial War Memorial Hospital following a high increase in the number of patients she treats at the Hospital.
Doctor Hong said that many youths do not have any idea of the effects of listening to high volume of music can damage their hearing.
She adds that on average she attends to 20 cases a day and most of them are youths and workers working at construction sites. And also raised concern at the number of Police officers in the Police Marching band that come to her clinic and adds that it falls on employers and individuals to ensure that there is a safe environment in working areas.
