A 21-year-old woman died after she sustained serious injuries in an accident in Sigatoka last night.
Police Spokesperson Atunaisa Sokomuri says the woman was a passenger in the car driven by a 21-year-old man.
There was another 26-year-old man in the car.
The three were travelling to Navua from Nadi when the car veered off the road at a bend near Navola village and hit a coconut tree at about 8pm yesterday.
Sokomuri says the 21-year-old woman died at the scene while the 21-year-old driver is admitted at the Lautoka hospital who sustained serious injuries.
The other passenger is admitted at the Sigatoka hospital.
