“Try to be the best in whatever you do”
This is the advice from 18 year old fashion designer Amelia Soqonivere who was awarded a summer scholarship in Fashion Illustration by the White House Institute of Design in Sydney, Australia.
Soqonivere has been dubbed by International designers as someone who has ‘Raw Talent’ said she got into fashion after being recently discovered by Fiji Fashion House managing director Ellen Whippy.
Soqonivere whose designs are mostly centered on unique modern dressing said that Fiji’s fashion industry is starting to get a lot of recognition but needs more local support for youths from the elders.
