Those were the words of Fiji's interim Prime Minister Commodore Frank Bainimarama as he welcomed Democrat Barack Obama's victory in the US.
Commodore Bainimarama said Obama had vowed to bring change and in Fiji he is trying to bring a change that will also ensure true parliamentary democracy and eradicate the race based politics and electoral system.
Bainimarama now hopes that the new Obama administration will understand the interim government's aims and objectives.
However, former Leader of Opposition Mick Beddoes said comments made by the interim Prime Minister Commodore Frank Bainimarama is an insult to democracy.
