The biggest challenge facing the Fiji Prison and Correction Service in the Yellow Ribbon Project is who will be responsible for the lives of the inmates when they are released.

Commissioner Prisons Iowane Naivalarua said the critical part is the handing over process after release, where is mum and dad, the family, church, relatives and the vanua?

Naivalurua said key stakeholders like the Fijian Affairs, churches and the NGOs have been asked to help with the responsibility in looking after those who will be released.
