For the first time, the Lau Provincial Council has opened its doors for members from other provinces to invest in its Yata Lau Project which was started by the late Tui Nayau, Ratu Sir Kamisese Mara for the people of Lau.

The Yatu Lau Company Limited today launched its second offer for the opening of its shares to the public, offering a million shares, 500,000 Class A shares and 500,000 Class B shares.

It was launched by Yatu Lau Chairperson, Adi Koila Mara Nailatikau at the Holiday Inn in Suva.

According to Chief Executive Officer, Michael Makasiale, investment in the company will now be opened to non-Lauans and adds that for a company that was started with $7 by the late Ratu Mara, it has grown significantly and the opening of investment in the company is a move forward.
