The Yat Sen Secondary School under-19 boys basketball team received a big boost for the Tuckers Ice cream Fiji Secondary schools Basketball championship as Digicel Fiji has provided the team with a dozen full-set uniforms.
Digicel Fiji's head of marketing, Sheryl Singh told the boys they have to go out and aim to win this tournament.
Team captain, Adriu Balekiwai says they have prepared well and they are hoping for a good run in this tournament.
Meanwhile, defending Under 19 girls champs ACS were given a run for their money after a close game with LDS.
ACS won 29-26.
ACS captain and National rep Kelera Koyamainavure says competition has gone up another level this year.
In other Under 19 Girls results, Yat Sen thrashed Suva Grammar 47-8, Laucala Bay Secondary beat Nasinu Secondary 26-23, Saint Joseph's Secondary defeated Natabua High 35-22.
In the Under 19 Boys results, Marist walloped QVS 32-7, Suva Grammar thumped Ratu Sukuna Memorial School 27-10, LDS thrashed Jai Narayan College 42-14 while Tilak High School beat Nasinu Secondary 24-7.
