Hotels and resorts in the Yasawa group have confirmed that they are now currently experiencing heavy rain and strong winds which are picking up in intensity and they are now taking extra precaution.

Vomo Island Resort staff said hurricane shutters have already been put up on all their villas and they are currently preparing torches and food supply, and are generally making sure that guests will be catered for during this time.

Likuliku Lagoon Resort in the Mamanuca Group is also taking precaution.

Front Office Supervisor Ilikimmy Batibasaga said preparations are already underway.
