Several players in the Yamacia 7s team have been hit with injuries just a few days away from the 2016 Bayleys Fiji Coral Coast 7s.
Co‑Coach David Dakuitoga says these players were all injured during training and they are now working on getting replacements.
He says two main players that have been injured are Luke Navuwai and Ulaiasi Sauvocia.
He adds that they are struggling to finalize their final 12‑men team but are ready for the challenge ahead.
Dakuitoga adds that they will be looking to Vodafone Fiji 7s player Sevuloni Moceinacagi to lead the team.
Moceinacagi who is one of the co‑captains made his debut for the Fiji 7s team last year.
Other Yamacia players who have played for Fiji are Semi Kunatani, Donasio Ratubuli and Jone Qorovarua.
Yamacia is in a competitive pool with Hideaway Hurricanes, Coastal Ratu Filise and Tabadamu.
The Bayleys Fiji Coral Coast 7s will be held at Lawaqa Park from this Thursday to Saturday.
The prize money for the men's and women's competition is $20,000 each.
Meanwhile, twelve schools will compete in the Uprising Schools 7s this Wednesday.
