The captain of a yacht named "Happy Dream" has been rushed to the hospital after his yacht caught fire in the Beqa passage this afternoon.

According to the report received from the Ports Authority of Fiji, the yacht is owned by a Columbian couple and they were travelling around.

A Ports Authority vessel has gone to the scene to ascertain the damage to the yacht.

Meanwhile, the National Fire Authority has also confirmed the fire however the Divisional Fire Officer Central Eastern Qio Moceitai said they could not go out to the sea as they have no jurisdiction there.
