The Brumbies head coach Jake White has admitted they probably went to Perth with the wrong attitude as they were thinking about next week's play offs.
Heavy rain and greasy Perth conditions did not help the Brumbies but in the end it was their own errors which cost them the match.
The Brumbies lost to the Western Force 21-15 over the weekend.
Meanwhile, by finishing the season as the competition's two highest ranked conference winners, the Chiefs and the Bulls have earned the week off and progress straight to the Super Rugby Semi Finals where they await the winners of the qualifying matches.
The teams that will be playing the qualifying matches are the Crusaders vs Reds at 7.35pm Saturday at AMI Stadium while the Brumbies will take on the Cheetahs at 6.10pm Sunday.
