Crusaders coach Todd Blackadder said their embarrassing 28-19 loss to the Melbourne Rebels was due to poor execution.

He added it was probably their worst performance of the last four years.    

Blackadder said aimless kicking, dumb penalties at critical times and terrible decision making are the reasons behind their loss.

The Crusaders will face the Blues at 7.35pm this Saturday.
