The worsening road conditions in Suva and nearby settlements are becoming a major cause of frustration amongst the daily users.
Fijivillage News spoke to motorists and residents of Bureta street in Samabula who told us that Suva City Council has done nothing to improve the pathetic condition of the road however they are ready to charge city rates amounting to almost 900 dollars a year.
They added that pot-holes are getting bigger and deeper each day and even when they are filled, they just make the roads uneven.
Meanwhile, Suva Lord Mayor, Ratu Peni Volavola said he has received a letter regarding the poor condition of Bureta street.
Ratu Peni said he also visited the road and has told the relevant people to act. He also admits that there are other roads in similar condition.
