Some worry for the Chiefs fans as they have lost co-captain Craig Clarke for Friday's clash with the Highlanders in Hamilton, but All Blacks utility Richard Kahui may make his return from the bench.
As a precaution, Clarke will sit-out the match after taking a head-knock in the win over the Southern Kings last week.
Chiefs coach Dave Rennie has plenty of options at eight, where Fritz Lee and co-captain Liam Messam are options.
Kahui has the potential to make his long-awaited comeback. He is bracketed on the bench with Patrick Osborne.
The Chiefs will play the Highlanders at 6.35pm this Friday.
