World farewells King of Pop
Fans around the world have gathered at arenas and record stores, big screens and makeshift shrines, to watch the memorial service of King of Pop Michael Jackson and pay homage to their idol this morning.
As thousands of fans joined Jackson's family and closest friends at Los Angeles Staples Centre arena, millions more followed proceedings on television and online.
In Germany, at least 8,000 fans watched events at Berlin's O2 World Arena, thousands of British fans in London braved torrential rain to watch a giant screen outside the city's O2 Arena, where Jackson was scheduled to play a series of 50 concerts from July 13th.
In Japan, hundreds of fans gathered at a Tower Records store in Tokyo, where Jackson twice visited, to watch videos on big screen.
Thousands of other fans worldwide followed the coverage online via CNN and Facebook, from Nigeria, Finland to Fiji.
All those who watched the memorial service in these areas were moved to tears when Jackson's daughter Paris Katherine delivered this tribute to her dad.
The hearse carrying the Popstar's body has left the memorial service at the Staples Centre with thousands of fans lining the streets of LA to pay their last respects.
The final destination of the Popstar's body is still unknown, whether it will be buried or cremated and the location where this is to take place.
