A committee established to celebrate World Food Day in the Central Division yesterday held their first meeting.
Coordinator Ishwara Nand Sharma said the World Food Day or Agriculture Show is to encourage students to do adapt farming and back yard gardening for greener vegetables.
Sharma said World Food Day will be celebrated on 16th October and it will be a district celebration however the event will be organized on the National Food Day theme.
He added that prizes will be also given to participating schools and students.
Events such as an oratory contest and poster competitions will also be organized.
