The Fiji Rugby Union (FRU) is likely to name the coach of the Digicel Fiji Sevens team next month to defend the Melrose Cup in Dubai next year.

Speaking to Fijivillage, FRU games committee vice-chairman Mosese Nailumu has also confirmed that they will name two national sevens coaches with one in charge of looking at the Melrose Cup while the other coach will guide the team to the IRB Sevens Series which will start in December.

Nailumu added that the likes of Flying Fijian fifteens rugby coach Ilivasi Tabua, Glen Ella and trainer Nacanieli Cawanibuka will be drafted into the Fiji Sevens team for the Melrose Cup in Dubai.

The position will be advertised when the games committee meets with Josateki Savou and Opetaia Ravai next week.

The Fiji Sevens team will arrive into the country this evening at 7pm.
