The Ministry of the Indigenous Fijian Affairs is expected to hold a workshop to discuss issues regarding the proposed village bylaws.

Deputy Permanent Secretary Colonel Apakuki Kurusiga said the meeting will educate people from the NGOs, the civil society, representatives of the Tikina from the 14 Provincial Councils and other stakeholders.

Kurusiga had earlier mentioned that the draft bylaws are a standard which should be followed and practiced in the villages.

The 14 provinces in Fiji should hand in their submissions by the 25th of this month.

Meanwhile, the venue and date of the workshop is yet to be confirmed.
