"Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day. Teach him how to fish and you feed him for a lifetime."

That is the underlying aim of the joint co-operation of the Social Welfare Ministry and the Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia in a Training of trainers for women in coconut, bamboo and  Batik crafting workshop that was officially opened by the Indonesian Ambassador Aidil Chandra Salim this morning.

Salim said the workshop will see the 25 women from the Central/Eastern Division learn how to produce invaluable handicrafts out of resources that lay in abundance in Fiji.
