The Works Ministry is coming down hard on vessel owners operating in the Fiji waters, this time for vessel owners in the North, who are not registered.
Works Ministry spokesperson, Sainiana Waqainabete said that the surveyors from Fiji Islands Marine Safety Administration or FIMSA office will be there next week to register vessels.
Waqainabete added these are the vessels that get into trouble during natural disasters.
Waqainabete added that all un-registered vessel owners in the North can contact the Provincial Administrators office in Labasa on Tuesday, to be registered.
