Prime Minister Commodore Voreqe Bainimarama said works is expected to be continued by the Provincial Development in the province of Lau.
This was revealed to members of the Lau Provincial Council Meeting yesterday.
Commodore Bainimarama said this will fasten the work that has been carried out by the Army engineers after Cyclone Tomas.
Bainimarama said government spent $2.7 million on the repair of roads and bridges after the cyclone, $600,000 repair of homes in Nayau and food and $800,000 was used for the repairing of the schools
Bainimarama added works will also be carried in Lomaiviti and in the North.
The meeting continues this morning.
