The Works Ministry is calling on motorists and pedestrians to take precautions when they approach the Waisere Vugalei Bridge near the junction of Namara and the Kings Road as there is a tearing on the deck of the bridge.
The Ministry said while the bridge is open, motorists and pedestrians however should be careful when crossing it.
Their workers have been dispatched to the site to repair the damage, but in the meantime general precaution should be practiced.
