The Ministry of Works has confirmed that they are facing difficulty in restoring proper water supply to those living in Nadi, Lautoka, Ba and in Sigatoka as flood waters have seen major damage to water supply lines.

As a result of this, PWD have had to reroute many water pipes and replace damaged pipelines.

According to Ministry of Works Spokeswoman Sainiana Waqanibete said most areas still remain without water supply but they have set a timeline for themselves and expect water to be back and running by mid next week.

Meanwhile, Moto Village in Ba which has seen 10 villages cut-off from water access and rescuers is in the last stages of being reconstructed.
