For the first time in Fiji, businesses will join an initiative called the Fiji Business Against HIV/Aids, which will be to educate all those in the workforce about the virus.
Australia Business Coalition on Aids Chief Executive, Steven Grant who is organizing the initiative said Fiji is the 10th country to take this on adding that this is important that the workforce is educated about something like this.
Grant said while HIV/Aids is a social threat, it is also an economic threat and businesses need to come together and help minimize this.
The Australian High Commission had earlier this year given $40,000 to help kick start the initiative in Fiji.
