Work continues on the huge leak along the pipeline from the Nagadro to Vuturu water stations however, the Works Ministry said this does not mean it will end water problems in the Western Division.
Ministry Spokesperson Illiesa Sokia said though the pipeline supplies majority of the residents in Lautoka and Nadi, it may ease the residents water problems but not eliminate it.
Meanwhile, a resident in Field 40 in Lautoka, Ethel Robinson said that the water rationing is nothing new and is hoping that something be done to address the continuous water cuts.
This rationing which happens during non-peak hours will see residents in certain areas without water supply from 9am to 3pm every day until repair works are completed in the next two weeks.
