The Fiji Labour Party in its Deepawali message has called on leaders to work together to bring stability and democracy in the country.
Party leader Mahendra Chaudhry said the political dialogue yesterday is a clear indication that Fiji will soon return to democratic rule.
Chaudhry has called on all the leaders to work for the betterment of the nation.
Meanwhile, the National Federation Party in their Diwali message said that Diwali is an important, historic festival and is time for forgiveness.
The Party called on the nation to put aside their differences and mend the fence, up-build each other and renew the bond of brotherhood and celebrate what we are and what we have.
National president Raman Singh said that since Fiji is a multi cultural and divided nation, torn apart by historical events, everyone should try to make honest attempts to resolve our differences.
Deepawali or Diwali is a major Indian festival celebrated by Hindus all around the world.
It is celebrated across the globe as the Festival of Lights where the lights or lamps signify victory of good over the evil within every human being.
Many legends are associated with it, of which the most famous is the return of Lord Rama to his kingdom after killing demon-lord Ravan and suffering an exile of fourteen years in the jungle and in celebration his wife Sita and brother Lakshman and the citizens of Ayodhya lighted many lamps and diyas.
They also distributed sweets along with the bursting of many firecrackers.
