Work Needed on Tackles/ Discipline
Fiji's own IRB refree, James Bolabiu who is currently at the USA 7's tournament in San Diego said after the games in New Zealand, the IRB Board of Referees held an analysis, which showed that tackles, has led to a lot of foul play in the tournament.
Bolabiu said he has given a little advice to Coach Iliesa Tanivula on how Fiji players can avoid being penalized.
Bolabiu adds at the moment other referees are meeting with the various teams so players get used to the referees and the rules.
Bolabiu is one of the front runner's for tonight's Sportsman of the Year Award at the Fiji Sports Council Awards night. His achievement speaks for itself as he is the only rugby referee from Fiji to referee in the IRB World 7s Series, been the touch judge in the Tri Nations and officiated in the Under 20 Rugby World Cup.
