The Fiji Women’s Volleyball team just lost to Tahiti 3 straight sets and is now out of the race for Gold or a Silver medal.

Taekwondo competition started today and in the 63 kg Sameer Ali and Tonga Karutake won their first round fights against Vanuatu opponents but both lost their next rounds.

Meanwhile, Team Fiji is still in 5th position on the overall Pacific Mini games medal tally with 11 gold, 12 silver and 14 bronze.

Papua New Guinea is still leading with 25 gold, 19 silver and 22 bronze while New Caledonia is second with 19 gold , 8 silver and 6 bronze.

Tahiti is third with 13 Gold, 6 silver and 5 bronze.

Samoa is in fourth place with 13 gold, 3 silver and 9 bronze.

Meanwhile, the rugby 7s will kick off tomorrow at 10am.
