For the first time ever the Fiji Women’s Rugby Union will be organizing a Regional 7s Tournament which could see 16 teams participating.

Fiji Women’s Rugby Union President Paulini Tamatasasa said their main focus is to involve other local teams in other regions as part of their development program where 10 teams have already confirmed their places.

Tamatasasa added that there are other talents out in the islands and the national teams need to recognise it.

The Regional 7s Tournament is expected to take place on the 2nd of next month with the venue yet to be confirmed.
