More than 150 women who are wives of the members of the Royal Fiji Military Forces this morning were asked to look after their health.
Patron of the RFMF Wives, Mary Bainimarama thanked the ladies for attending the important workshop and told them not to be ashamed to ask questions regarding their health issues.
The Soldiers wives were going in groups of five to get pap smears tests done as well as testing their blood pressure and sugar.
It was highlighted at the workshop that in 2008 there were 28 deaths within the RFMF family which includes both soldiers and wives due to unhealthy diet.
RFMF Wives and Mothers club President, Wainikiti Bogidrau said the aim of the programme is to raise awareness on the major killer diseases of women in Fiji which was due to breat and cervical cancer.
