For the first time ever, about a hundred women in the country will be given the opportunity to take part in a workshop to encouraging them to try out trades that have previously been dominated by men.
General Manager Technical Training Kalisiana Koroi said the workshop in trying to promote gender equality in the workforce will include demonstrations by women already in such trades such as plumbing, electrical, electronics, automotives, refrigeration and others.
Koroi added this is towards fulfilling our mandate in providing training which leads to employment nationally.
The workshop is expected to take place tomorrow at the Soqosoqo Vakamarama Hall.
