A woman was rushed to Suva Hospital just after lunch today after an accident in Nasole, 6 miles Nasinu.
Eye witnesses told Fijivillage news that a Pajero driven by a woman lost control and bumped into a bus that was on it's way to Nausori.
Some passengers in the bus received minor injuries.
Investigation continues.
Police Investigate baby's death
Meanwhile, Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of a one month old baby who died at her home in Taveuni earlier this week.
Police Spokesperson, Inspector Atunaisa Sokomuri said the baby's mother breast fed the baby and went off to sleep.
The mother woke up in the middle of the night to check up on the baby however there was no response.
Police are now awaiting the post mortem result to determine the cause of the baby's death.
Meanwhile, Sigatoka Police are questioning a mini van driver who allegedly attempted to rape a 22 year passenger yesterday.
Police Spokesperson, Inspector Atunaisa Sokomuri confirmed that the 22 year old student was a passenger in the minivan when the 28 year old driver stopped the van in Sigatoka and allegedly assaulted the student in an attempt to rape her.
Sokomuri said a passerby raised the alarm and reported the matter to the police following which the driver was arrested.
Man dies in road accident
In another incident, a 60 year old man died after an accident in Navua last night.
Police Spokesperson, Inspector Atunaisa Sokomuri confirmed to Fijivillage news that the accident happened in Tokotoko Navua when the driver of the vehicle travelling towards Suva lost control and hit the man who was walking along the road.
Police are still questioning the driver while two other passengers in the vehicle sustained some injuries were treated and sent home.
Meanwhile, Inspector Sokomuri has urged motorists to take extra care on the highways as rainy weather is expected to continue till tomorrow in most parts of the country.
