Police are currently questioning a 49 year old woman from Nalawa, Ra, who allegedly murdered her 63 year old elder sister yesterday afternoon.
Director CID Waisea Vakamocea confirms the two had an argument and the younger sister used a kitchen knife to stab the elder sister.
It is alleged the 49 year old woman stabbed her sister in her back when she turned around to pick something up from the floor.
Vakamocea said they are now awaiting the post mortem report of the deceased after which charges are expected to be laid on the 49 year old.
