A 53-year-old woman is in urgent need of assistance after she was allegedly beaten up by her defacto partner last week.
Speaking to Fijivillage from her Nasole home earlier today, the woman who is a cancer survivor says she is in urgent need of medical help after the domestic abuse by her defacto partner.
The woman says she is happy that the Police took action and removed the man from the house yesterday.

She says her defacto partner had beaten her up with an old stand fan and electrical wires, and she has visible injuries on her body.
He had also locked her up in the house.
The torture and abuse started on January 2nd and lasted for more than five days.
The woman says she was also threatened that she would be knifed if she reports the matter to the Police.
The matter was reported to Police by the woman’s daughter who lives in Canada.
Her daughter says when she contacted a Fiji women’s NGO, she was given five different numbers to call however no one sent any help.
There is no confirmation at this stage on which NGO was contacted.
There are also claims that calls were made to a police station and they were told that no one was able to help at the time as there was no one at the station.
