A 34 year old woman of Rewa is in police custody for allegedly assaulting a 24 year old woman after an argument.
Assistant Spokesperson Sergeant Suliano Tevita said the alleged incident took place on Tuesday night where it is alleged that the suspect assaulted the woman at a church in Rewa.
The victim was transferred from Wainibokasi to the CWM hospital, due to the seriousness of the injuries.
The suspect is expected to be charged soon. Police have warned members of the public not to take the law into their hands and to try to solve disputes through dialogue.
