A 35 year old woman of Vatiyaka, Ba has been admitted in a critical condition at the Lautoka hospital after sustaining serious burns inside her house over the weekend.
Assistant Police Spokesperson Sergeant Suliano Tevita confirmed the woman sustained 80 percent burns.
The house was also destroyed in the fire on Sunday night and the cost of damage stands at around $90,000.
Sergeant Tevita said they suspect someone lit the fire in the house.
No one has been taken into custody as Police and the National Fire Authority continue with their investigation.
Police also suspect there was a family dispute on Sunday afternoon and are trying to establish if there is any link between the fire and the dispute.
