A 37 year old woman charged with drunk driving, careless driving and assaulting a police officer on duty appeared in the Magistrates Court and was ordered to pay a fine of $500.

The court was told that on 27th January 2007, the woman was driving with 100mm liquor present in her blood and she bumped someone and assaulted a police officer on duty.

Magistrate Mary Muller ordered the woman to pay a fine of $500 in 6 weeks and not to reoffend for the next six months.

She was disqualified from driving for the next three months.
