A woman is in a critical condition at the Lautoka Hospital after falling off the back of a carrier in Nadi.
Police Spokesman Inspector Atunaisa Sokomuri said the woman who has sustained serious injuries was a passenger of a carrier driven by a 27 year old man, going towards Nadi Town when she fell off from the back of the carrier.
The incident happened last night at Dratabu, Nadi.
Police investigation is continuing.
Meanwhile a taxi driver of Tomuka, Lautoka, is being questioned by police after being found in possession of dried leaves believed to be marijuana.
Inspector Atunaisa Sokomuri said 74 sachets and 52 rolls believed to be marijuana was found in his taxi.
Sokomuri said the dried leaves have been taken to Koronivia and they are awaiting the test results, before charges will be laid.
