A 61-year-old woman died in a tragic house fire in Vitogo, Lautoka early this morning.
Police Spokesperson, Ana Naisoro says the woman was trapped inside house when the fire started at around 5am.
The National Fire Authority says the husband is admitted at the Lautoka hospital after he received serious injuries.
It says four people were inside the house when the fire started.
The cause of the fire which destroyed the four bedroom house is yet to be determined.
Police and the National Fire Authority have now started their investigations.
In another incident, a three-bedroom house belonging to a 33-year-old man was destroyed in a fire at Lajonia in Labasa yesterday afternoon.
Police say when the man arrived home he saw smoke and attempted to put out the fire but could not save his house.
The cause of the fire is not known at this stage as the investigation continue.
