A woman has lost her life after she was struck by lightning in Waiqanake in Suva this morning.
This has been confirmed by Police Spokesperson, Inspector Atunaisa Sokomuri who said two women were struck by lightning and while one lost her life, the other one received some injuries.
More details are expected to be released later this afternoon.
Meanwhile, with the current weather condition, Inspector Sokomuri has called on people to restrict their movements and try to stay indoors.
He has also urged parents to monitor their children.
